We are pleased to share the successful completion of the first few cases using the integrated Makoto NIRS-IVUS system at Gleneagles Jerudong Park Medical Centre (GJPMC) in Brunei!
Congratulation to GJPMC under the leadership of Dr Peter Tay, CEO, and Cardiovascular Laboratory Team (CVL) and management team!

The cases were led by the team under Dr. Billal Patel, Head of Department, Cardiovascular Laboratory Team (CVL), with valuable contributions from Dr. Paula Mota, Dr. Rajinikanth Rajagopal, and the dedicated CVL nursing team.

Makoto NIRS-IVUS MC10i Dual Modality System is optimal for advanced imaging, clinical decision-making, and clinical outcome, successfully installed in GJPMC for better patient outcomes, offering comprehensive insights with both plaque composition (NIRS) and structural vessel data (IVUS). The system is fully integrated, provides seamless workflow efficiency with centralized control from main angio console and touch screen panel for measurements to optimise Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) outcome.

“We are proud to integrate the first ever Makoto NIRS-IVUS MC10i Dual Modality System. Our appreciation goes to our team with our distributor Parvati, Mr Leigh Childs, Ms Sally Wong , and Mr Hemant Punjabi, Ms Mia Baharin on the successful installation to advance better outcomes for patients in Brunei.” – Seigo Tsuchiya, Managing Director of Nipro Asia.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in advancing intravascular imaging capabilities in the region. We extend our sincere appreciation to the entire clinical team for their insightful feedback and shared experience during the installation and initial use of the system.

This collaboration has been instrumental in optimizing treatment strategies and enhancing risk prediction, ultimately aiming to improve outcomes for cardiac patients in Brunei.
