NIPRO is pleased to announce the successful launch of the Makoto Intravascular Imaging System with the Dualpro IVUS+NIRS catheter at Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City on 29 July 2025.

This marks a major step in advancing the treatment of calcified and lipid-rich coronary artery disease, optimizing PCI. By integrating Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) in a single catheter, the Makoto system provides detailed vessel imaging and precise lipid core plaque (LCP) detection, critical for identifying vulnerable, high-risk lesions.

With next-generation resolution in bandwidth and enhanced lesion crossing capabilities, this powerful tool enhances procedural strategy and supports better outcomes in complex coronary interventions.
